Recommended additional plugins

Before starting this step, you must have completed Installing Shuban. Once you download & install Shuban, the theme will recommend you few plugins. These are recommended plugins and are not required for the theme to function properly.

Recommended WordPress Plugins

Following is the list of recommended plugins:

  1. Contact Form 7
  2. Facebook Widget
  3. Autoptimize
  4. MailChimp for WordPress
  5. Twitter Widget
  6. WP Instagram Widget

 

If you want your WordPress blog website to look same as a demo website, you will need to install all of these WordPress plugins. We have made it easy to install these plugins via our theme. Just click on ‘Begin installing plugins’ link displayed in an alert message at the top (Check above screenshot). This will take you to next screen, which looks like this:

Select all plugins and from dropdown ‘Bulk Actions’, select ‘Install’. Now, click ‘Apply’ button. Check this screenshot:

All plugins will now be installed automatically. Now, you will need to activate all of these plugins. You can activate all plugins in the same way.

Contact Form 7:

We have used this plugin for making our contact form work. Contact Form 7 is one of the most popular plugins for creating contact forms. It can manage multiple contact forms, plus you can customize the form and the mail contents flexibly with simple markup. Facebook Widget:

We use this plugin to create a Facebook widget on the sidebar. It is one of the most popular plugin for facebook page feeds widget with over 4,50,000 downloads and 1,00,000+ active installs. You can have plugin inside look here:

Autoptimize:

This plugin is used for optimizing your website. Autoptimize makes optimizing your site really easy. It can aggregate, minify and cache scripts and styles, injects CSS in the page head by default and can move and defer scripts to the footer. It also minifies the HTML code itself, making your page really lightweight. There are advanced options and an extensive API available to enable you to tailor Autoptimize to each and every site?s specific needs. And it can even improve your site?s performance. MailChimp for WordPress:

This plugin acts as a bridge between your site and your users, connecting the two together. We have used this plugin to gather email id of users/subscribers. ‘MailChimp for WordPress’ helps you add more subscribers to your MailChimp lists using various methods. You can create good looking opt-in forms or integrate with any other form on your site, like your comment, contact or checkout form. Twitter Widget:

We use ‘Recent Tweets Widget’ plugin for displaying recent tweets in the sidebar. ‘Recent Tweets Widget’ plugin is used for Twitter API v1.1 with Cache. It uses the new Twitter API v1.1 and stores tweets in the cache. It means that it will read status messages from your database and it doesn?t query Twitter.com for every page load so you won?t be rate limited. You can set how often you want to update the cache. WP Instagram Widget:

We are using this WordPress plugin for displaying Instagram feeds in blog’s footer. ‘WP Instagram widget’ is a no fuss WordPress widget to showcase your latest Instagram pics.
